Artists thoughts: French Anethi, Work no 4

The name of the piece is ‘Preferred Medication’. Although a smaller piece in the series this one probably took the longest using extreme detail in super fine inks to portray a collection of real and made up pharmaceuticals. I have always loved drawing in this style as you can create such articulate patterns and shading to the objects. This one was fun to experiment with the names of fake branding like ‘Doctors success’ and ‘Assume the worst’ some with a slightly foreboding undertone. The meanings of the fake names relate to how drugs given both through prescription and through shops, all are trying to advertise a cure for all and every flaw mankind has. A brightly coloured happy package can sometimes hold the scariest outcomes.
